Mountain Goat

Around Ohio

Mountain Goat

This is a pretty impressive goat. You probably won't find it on a farm because it is a mountain goat. There were two or three baby goats with it. Goats have two toes on each foot that they use to hold onto rocks they climb on. They also have very soft feet.

What an interestingly-shaped horn! What parts of the world does this goat live in?

Mountain Goats are found mostly in the mountain ranges of North America.

I like that big beard. Nice shot.

Is it a true goat or just called that? For some reason it doesn't look goaty enough. :)

Mountain Goats are actually members of the antelope family.
