Around Ohio
Here is one of the large snakes we saw in the reptile house. Pythons can weigh up to 250 pounds and measure 33 feet long. They only move about one mile per hour on land but are excellent swimmers. They lay eggs and the mother snake warms them by "shivering." This would be interesting to see—it looks like the snake has hiccups.

Pretty cozy-looking for a snake!
How did you get it to curl up and look at you like that?
I would not want to get that close to one.
Beautiful diamond pattern on the skin.
It was like that when I saw it.
Amazing, looks like the way a rattle snake curls up. How long do you think it was?
It was hard to tell since it was curled up, but it was probably two or three feet long.
