Wire Train
Trains and wires combine two of my favorite hobbies. I've spent many hours wiring my model train into a complex series of circles and crossovers. This string art project was a fun way to "wire up" another train. I plan to show it at our county fair next week in the arts and crafts hall. Whether it wins or not, I know I will enjoy the fair.

That's interesting. Is it a certain model of train?
What an intricate design--nice shot too!
It's amazing how you made all those shapes just by using wire!
That's a good question! This train engine is very similar to the steam locomotives that were built in the late 1800's. In fact, it looks just like the "Gov. Stanford" buit in 1862. It was the pioneer engine of the Central Pacific Railroad and is now displayed in the California State Railroad Museum.
I like how the oranges and blues come out in the photo. I'm sure all the fair-goers will enjoy this! Thanks for sharing with us.
